Zocalo Cafe is a best option for families, not for singles. Here's why families love it: 1) It's in charming West Austin on a street with other restaurant options and coffee shops. 2) It's casual, but good. They serve Mexican food including tacos that come in three. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they weren't bad. 3) They have a large outdoor space with picnic tables. 4) They serve fun drinks for kids and adults. I ordered a double sangria (though I still have no idea what made it a double. It looked normal). It's a fun spot for families. However, if you are looking for the best food/experience in Austin, you won't find it here. Head over to East Austin to find that and better food.

The food tested very good. I ordered crispy tacos and they came on a taco tray. Which keeps each taco separate from the other and off the bottom of the plate so they don't get soggy from the bean sauce or other sauce. The tortilla chips we a bit thicker and more firm which was good since we ordered a some what more thick queso sauce. Today was my first time eating here. I would definitely go back.

Me and my boyfriend decided to try this place out tonight for the 3 dollar margaritas. Food and everything was good until we ordered our margaritas and the cashier said it would need a couple minutes to freeze. We sat down waited for our food and drinks. The margarita never came. We got our food (still no margarita) we enjoyed our food. Even after we were done with our food we never got the margarita. We waited and saw the young lady walking around handing out margaritas. So we decided to get our money back for the drink. When we told the young lady we never got the margarita she said "Oh, I forgot. You should have reminded me" But she was walking around handing out other margaritas. When the manager came for the refund she explained to the manager that "I forgot, the machine just finished the margaritas." But was handing out margaritas to other customers.
