This division works to ensure environmental health and food sanitation for the city of San Antonio. They inspect all food establishments according to the local health code and State regulations and verify that all food establishments have a certified food handler manager per State regulations.
Food establishment health inspections are graded using a scoring system of 1 to 100 points, with 100 being the best score. Any restaurant that receives a score of 70 or below will be issued a re-inspection.
