Lot of vegetarian options and good food. With the $$ spent. Ambience is nice. It looks very different from the inside. Don’t go by the outer appearance of this place. It’s nice and cozy inside, beautifully lit 🙂

Most Creative and delicious Sushi Rolls in Seattle. I've been eating at Umi and their sister restaurant Momiji since Umi first opened downtown. The Ginger chicken is spicy and flavored with ginger, sauteed onions and perhaps some type of sriracha or cayenne. It's fabulous. The hotter than hell roll, (I love spicy things), is sometimes inconsistently hotter or less spicy but always delicious. I'm only scratching the surface here, the Mr. Perfect roll is perfection - we order it every time we eat there. The 007 and 008 rolls come with a nice aioli along the side of the cool long rectangular plates they serve their rolls on. They also feature sashimi and nigri for the purists who prefer gothic, proper sushi. The service has always been flawless. The cocktails are also excellent. Momiji has my highest recommendation. I would rather eat their than any other restaurant in Seattle.

Very nice interior/ ambiance but they still serve very good food when you order take out. I really like their crispy calamari, garlic short ribs and crunchy Seattle rolls.

We had a lovely dining experience. The drink menu had sake and the shochu, which I haven't seen a lot of in different restaurants. I asked for a junmai recommendation and our waitress got us a great one. The sushi was great too. The fusion aspect definitely comes through when we have habanero in a sushi roll, which gave the rolls a lot of character. The ratio between fish and rice was also great. Thank you Momiji for a lovely dining experience!

Highly recommended Their nigiri sushi quality is very consistent and visually appealing even without the “authenticity” of being Japanese owned. I think where their menu really does well is in all the roll variations. There is always some new variation to try or a favorite when you revisit. Lastly their customer service is truly excellent.
