Absolutely delicious! The food is fresh and portions are filling. The clam chowder is a must and wish we would have picked to have it in the bread bowl option because their bread is amazing. It is a popular place so I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Pro tip: when making a reservation request a table near the windows. You will get a beautiful view of Pier 39, the cute seals, and sneak a peek of the Golden Gate Bridge.

I've eaten there about 4 times now. the first 2 times were very good. the last time I ate there the halibut was very dry and tasted like the freezer. they tried 2 replace it but it wasn't any better, I gave it to my friend but what topped that today was the raw, greasy fries, with that horrible tasting coleslaw and the ribs that were burned down to the bone, yes, even the bone had burns on it. I don't suggest anyone eat there. go to the next block and there's another place that's fresh and always delicious

We decided to do Valentines this year at Catch 21 and were lucky enough to have Mel as our server! He was extremely attentive, helped us out with our crabs (which neither of us had much experience cracking), and kept us laughing with jokes every time he came to the table. It was also my boyfriend's birthday and he planned a special surprise for the end of our dinner. Would definitely go back and ask for Mel specifically. Thanks for a great dinner!

Okay place. Lots of seating inside and out. Great beverages. Food could be better but still okay. The ambiance is why I go though sometimes there may be transients lingering due to it's area of operations. Cool in-the-cut hole-in-the-wall place.
